Deborah Spencer

Deborah Spencer is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the Director of Classification & Compensation at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since October 2023. Prior to this role, Deborah held the position of Director of Human Resources at the University of Saint Joseph from February 2008 to September 2023. Additionally, Deborah worked as the Vice President of Human Resources at The Village for Families & Children from November 1997 to February 2008, and as the Manager of Human Resources at Carvel Corporation from June 1993 to November 1997. Earlier in Deborah's career, a position as a Human Resources Development Consultant was held at Travelers from June 1986 to December 1993. Deborah holds a Master of Science in Organizational Behavior from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Connecticut.
