Kristin Mapson

Kristin Mapson, formerly Bolton, has extensive experience in academic and social work environments. Currently serving as Interim Associate Dean for Research and Innovation and Associate School Director at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since August 2013, Kristin is also a Professor and MSW Program Coordinator. Previous academic roles include Adjunct Faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, Kristin has practical experience as a Play it Safe Trainer at The Women's Center of Tarrant County and as a Case Manager and Youth Worker at the Community and Family Resource Center. Kristin holds a PhD in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington, a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from Purdue University.
