Valtteri Halonen

Valtteri Halonen currently serves as the Pre-Hawk Program Manager and Freshman Admissions Coordinator at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where responsibilities include managing territory for the Piedmont and New England areas and guiding over 1,800 students through the enrollment process. Previously, Valtteri was an Admissions Counselor at High Point University, where efforts in recruitment coordination led to a significant increase in applications. Valtteri's experience also includes a Graduate Assistant position in Swimming & Diving at West Virginia University and an Assistant Swim Coach role at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where management of student-athletes and training plan design were key responsibilities. Valtteri holds a Master of Arts and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from West Virginia University and the University of North Carolina Wilmington, respectively, along with a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
