Jarrette Werk

Jarrette Werk is a skilled reporter and photographer currently working at Underscore.news as a Report for America Corps Member since June 2022. Prior to this role, Jarrette served as an Associate Producer at Nevada Public Radio and held the position of Communications Lead at The Center For Native American Youth at the Aspen Institute. Jarrette has also contributed as a Peers-At-Work Mentor at the University of Nevada, Reno, supporting freshman students in their transition to college. Experience includes a role as a Banquet Server at Cherry Bomb Catering LLC and as an Editorial Intern with Sierra Nevada Media Group, focusing on the First Nation's Focus publication. Additionally, Jarrette has worked with the Reno Sparks Indian Colony Education Department, providing tutorial assistance to American Indian students.
