Aimee Brown

Aimee Brown is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in crisis communications, media advising, and journalism. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist in the Crisis Bureau at UNDP since November 2020, Aimee has previously held significant roles including Senior Manager at the Director General's Office for Expo 2020 Dubai and Communications Lead for Business Call to Action at UNDP. Aimee's earlier experience includes regional media and communications advisory work for Oxfam covering multiple African countries, and various communications positions within UNDP, particularly focusing on crisis prevention and recovery in Somalia and Cambodia. Aimee started a journalism career working for The Daily Telegraph, The Wentworth Courier, and The Village Voice. Aimee holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Post Colonial African Literature from the University of Sydney.
