Kamil Kayode Kamaluddeen is an experienced development professional currently serving as the Resident Representative for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) since February 2019, following a tenure as Country Director from December 2002 to December 2018. Kamil has demonstrated leadership and management capabilities in UNDP's operational activities in Ghana, focusing on governance, inclusive growth, and sustainable development. Previous roles include Economics Advisor, where Kamil led strategy and policy teams in Ghana and Liberia, and provided analytical support to governments and partners on human development and economic management. Academic experience includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Liberia, and significant teaching and administrative roles at Usmanu Danfodiyo University. Kamil holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics and additional qualifications in Accounting and Finance, alongside a postgraduate certificate in Cross-Sector Partnership from the University of Cambridge.
