Lisa Baumgartner is a seasoned policy specialist with extensive experience in resilience programming and gender issues related to climate change. Currently serving at UNDP as a Policy Specialist since August 2020, Lisa has also worked as an independent consultant and held various significant roles across organizations such as CARE USA, CARE International UK, and the International Rescue Committee. Notably, contributions include the development of strategic guidelines for GOAL's resilience programming and a Best Practice and Policy Brief for the IGAD Drought Disaster Resilience initiative. Lisa holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Anthropology/Sociology from Middlebury College.
