Luis Angel Roa Zambrano

Luis Angel Roa Zambrano is an experienced professional specializing in development cooperation, currently serving as a Programme Specialist for Effective Development Cooperation at UNDP since September 2022. With a strong academic background as a professor at Universidad De Los Andes, Luis teaches courses on Development Theories and various continuing education topics related to sustainable development. Prior experience includes roles at Agencia Presidencial de Cooperación in Colombia, managing numerous international projects funded by various bilateral and multilateral agencies, as well as advising on development cooperation processes. Additional experience encompasses project management for civil society initiatives across Latin America and partnerships building for inclusive business research. Luis holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics and International Development from Universidad de Los Andes, along with other relevant academic qualifications.
