Country Support For Crisis Prevention, Response & Recovery

Devanand Ramiah currently serves as the Director of the Global Policy Network at UNDP New York, focusing on Crisis Prevention, Response, and Recovery since January 2018. Ramiah has held significant leadership positions, including Deputy Country Director for UNDP China and Head of the South East Asia and Pacific Cluster at the Regional Bureau for Asia and Pacific from January 2015 to May 2022. Prior roles within the Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery include Head of Asia & Pacific and Conflict Prevention and Recovery Specialist, contributing extensive experience in crisis management and development. Ramiah holds two Master's degrees from Eastern Mennonite University, one in Conflict Transformation and the other in Conflict Resolution, Mediation, Negotiation, and Peace Building, completed between 2000 and 2002.
