Elena Maculan is a Full Professor of Criminal Law in the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) in Spain. They currently serve as the Secretary General of UNED and have previously been a Lecturer and Research Fellow at the Institute Universitario General Gutiérrez Mellado. Elena holds dual PhDs in Comparative and European Legal Studies and Peace and International Security from the University of Trento and UNED. They have contributed to various prestigious legal publications and have been a visiting researcher at several international institutions.
