Chinweuba Esther Chidinma serves as an Associate Programme Officer at UNEP-WCMC since September 2022. From July to September 2021, Chinweuba worked as a Graduate Research Student at Cross River National Park Okwangwo Division, focusing on forest elephant ecosystem services and human-elephant conflicts. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management at Federal University of Wukari during the National Youth Service Corps from December 2018 to October 2019. In January 2018, Chinweuba conducted research as an Undergraduate Research Student at Omo Forest Reserve Nigeria, studying elephant diet and feeding preferences. An internship at the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria occurred from July to October 2017. Chinweuba holds a Master of Science in Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Ecosystem Services from Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny and a Bachelor's degree in Forestry and Wildlife from the University of Ilorin.
