Valerie Kapos

Valerie Kapos is an experienced professional in nature-based solutions, with a background in forest biodiversity conservation and climate change. With a Ph.D. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, and a B.A. in Botany/Plant Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Valerie has held key roles at UNEP-WCMC including Senior Programme Officer, Head of Programme for Climate Change & Biodiversity, and currently serves as the Principal Specialist for Nature-based Solutions.
