Ellen Dixon

Ellen Dixon currently serves in multiple prestigious roles, including positions at UNESCO, where responsibilities involve the Education2030 High-Level Steering Committee and learning networks in Bangkok, as well as the SDG4Youth Executive Committee in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, Ellen holds advisory roles for the New Zealand Centre for Global Studies and the GEM Report at UNESCO, and acts as a Global Youth Indicator Advisor for the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. Ellen's experience extends to strategic advisory positions with various organizations, including Tertiary Education Commission and ActionAid, alongside previous leadership as National President of the New Zealand Union of Students' Associations. Ellen's academic background includes pursuing a PhD in Philosophy, Art, and Critical Theory, alongside a Doctorate in International Relations and Political Philosophy, demonstrating a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of education and policy.
