Lena Fox is currently a Consultant for the Rule of Law, Freedom of Expression, and Safety of Journalists Section at UNESCO, working to safeguard freedom of expression and journalist safety on various scales. Prior to this role, Lena served as an intern in the same section at UNESCO, focusing on international engagement with judicial actors. Previous experience includes working as a Paralegal in Juvenile and Family Law at Carey & Lillevik, where documentation and communication were facilitated for litigation, as well as serving as a Legal Observer for the National Lawyers Guild. Volunteering as a Coordinator at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival involved oversight of volunteer recruitment and training, while a role as a Program Facilitator with the Associated Recreation Council focused on community education projects. Lena holds a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Sciences Po and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Political Science from Concordia University, alongside additional educational experience at The University of British Columbia.
