Maysoun Chehab

Maysoun Chehab serves as the Chief of Section and Senior Education Program Specialist at UNESCO since January 2015, providing intellectual leadership and guidance to regional programs and managing related work plans. In addition, Maysoun Chehab has contributed to Lebanon’s national education strategies as the Education Lead and National Education Professional Officer, overseeing UNESCO's educational initiatives and ensuring alignment with regional and UN priorities. Maysoun Chehab has participated in numerous working groups related to education in Lebanon and the region, including roles in national committees and task forces. Prior experience includes serving as Basic Education Program Officer for Arab States at UNESCO, Continuing Education Program Instructor at the Lebanese American University, Arabic Community Facilitator for the International Network for Education in Emergencies, and Global Leaders Program Coordinator for the World Forum Foundation, focusing on leadership and educational development across various contexts.
