Noore Jannat Proma

Noore Jannat Proma currently serves as the Head of Media and Access to Information in the Communication and Information Sector at UNESCO Dhaka, focusing on enhancing the visibility and effectiveness of the sector while promoting freedom of expression and media independence. Prior experience includes roles as a Program Officer with HEKS/EPER, as well as a Program Officer for Reporting and Documentation at ActionAid Bangladesh, where responsibilities included donor reporting and national advocacy campaigns on gender issues. With a solid background in communication strategy and media relations during tenure as Senior Program Officer at WAVE Foundation BD, Noore began a career in journalism as a freelance reporter and sub-editor. Noore holds a Master of Science degree in Child Development and Social Relations from the University of Dhaka.
