Simona Popa

Simona Popa is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of education, currently serving as the Head of Knowledge Creation & Management at the UNESCO International Bureau of Education since 2007. In this role, Simona Popa leads research initiatives, flagship publications, and oversees the Documentation Center. Additionally, Simona Popa holds the position of Editor-in-Chief for "Prospects," UNESCO's Comparative Journal of Curriculum, Learning and Assessment. Prior experience includes serving as Faculty at Drexel University, focusing on topics such as Education and National Development, and as Managing Editor for the Comparative Education Review. Simona Popa earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Comparative Education from the University of Pittsburgh.
