Tawfik Jelassi

Tawfik Jelassi currently serves as the Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information at UNESCO in Paris since July 2021. Concurrently, Tawfik is a Professor of Strategy & Technology Management and Co-Director of the OWP program at IMD Business School, a role held since September 2015. Prior experience includes serving as the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and ICT for the Tunisian Government from January 2014 to February 2015 and as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Tunisiana (Ooredoo Tunisia) from February 2011 to January 2014. Tawfik also held the positions of Dean and Professor of Information Technology and e-Business at the School of International Management at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees from September 2000 to January 2014 and Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Technology Management Area at INSEAD from 1989 to 1994. Tawfik Jelassi obtained a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from NYU Stern School of Business and holds MIAGE and DEA degrees in Informatique de Gestion from Université de Paris-Dauphine.
