Kathryn Mahoney

Kathryn Mahoney is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in humanitarian and refugee advocacy. Currently serving as the Global Spokesperson for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, since June 2012, Kathryn skillfully utilizes data-driven communications to address global refugee issues. Prior roles include Social Media Manager and Public Information Officer at UNHCR, where Kathryn significantly enhanced engagement and awareness through impactful storytelling and social media strategies. Earlier positions include Communications Manager at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Haiti Communications Coordinator with Partners In Health, and Media Consultant for the Clinton Global Initiative. Kathryn holds an MA in Human Rights from the University of London and a BA in English and French from Boston College.
