Akshay Pal

Akshay Pal is a Software Engineer at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence since September 2022, having previously served as a Graduate Software Engineer. Akshay's experience includes a role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Keele University, collaborating with Professor Anand Pandyan on a project that developed an algorithm in MATLAB for the automatic detection of muscle fibers in ultrasound images. Additionally, Akshay co-founded and presided over the Oxford University Bioengineering Society and completed a digital health research internship at Vann. Earlier work experience includes shadowing engineers at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. Akshay holds an MSc in Quantum Technology Applications and Management from the University of Sussex, expected to be completed in 2026, and an MEng in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford.
