Rupen Valand

Rupen Valand has extensive work experience in the IT field. Rupen is currently working as the Global IT Manager at Unibuddy, where they have established a global IT and Cybersecurity capability. Rupen is responsible for managing the IT budget and overseeing endpoint management, threat protection, and compliance management tools.

Before joining Unibuddy, Rupen worked as an IT Manager at 6point6 from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they served as the UK IT Manager at MMGY Global from 2019 to 2020, and as the IT Manager at Maber Architects Ltd from 2016 to 2019.

Rupen also has experience as a Senior Engineer at LeftBrain from 2014 to 2016, and as a Senior Product Support at Autotask Corporation from 2014 to 2014. Rupen started their career at Apple Inc., where they worked in various roles including Apple Hardware and Software Technician and IS&T Internal Analyst from 2007 to 2014.

Additionally, Rupen has worked as a Media & Publishing Consultant at Evolved Media Solutions from 2011 to 2013, and as an IT Co-Ordinator at 800 LIMITED from 2010 to 2011. Rupen began their IT career as a Mac Engineer at ACS International Schools Ltd. from 2009 to 2010, where they supported staff and administered desktop and server systems.

Rupen Valand obtained a degree in Music Education from London Metropolitan University, specializing in Music Teacher Education. This education spanned from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their degree, Rupen Valand also obtained certifications in Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus from The IASME Consortium. Rupen received the Cyber Essentials certification in November 2022 and the Cyber Essentials Plus certification in February 2023.
