Tristan H.

Tristan H. has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2017, they worked as an MPhys Student at CERN, where they focused on improving the identification of di-electron events. Tristan then moved on to The Filter - where AI meets TV in 2018, working as a Data Scientist and later as a Data Engineer. In these roles, Tristan contributed to the redevelopment of a recommendations platform in AWS and worked on improving the response time of the recommendation API while reducing overall cloud platform costs. In 2020, they joined Sainsbury's as a Data Engineer before transitioning to their current role at Unibuddy in 2021. At Unibuddy, Tristan initially worked as a Platform Engineer before being promoted to Senior Platform Engineer in 2022. Tristan'sresponsibilities include designing and building tools and services to support the transition to a microservices architecture, with experience in backend engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, CI/CD, Observability, and some frontend development. Tristan has expertise in Python, Typescript, and Kotlin, and their work at Unibuddy involves utilizing these languages.

Tristan H. pursued their education from 2014 to 2018 at the University of Southampton, where they obtained an MPhys degree in Particle Physics with Experimental Year Abroad. Additionally, Tristan earned certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate in July 2020 and the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner in September 2019.
