Amina Bala is an experienced professional in community mobilization and behavior change communication, with a career spanning various organizations since 2009. Amina began as a Program Officer at the Centre for Community Excellence before serving as a Volunteer with the British Council. Amina’s expertise further developed at FHI 360 as a Behavior Change Communication and Community Mobilization Officer, followed by roles at EngenderHealth as a Community Mobilization Specialist and Officer. Amina took on significant leadership as the Community Capacity and Engagement Team Lead and Senior Community Health Advisor at Save the Children International from 2022 to early 2024. Currently, Amina serves as a Social and Behavior Change Specialist at UNICEF. Amina holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the International University Bamenda and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Usman Danfodio University.
