Chewe Luo has extensive experience in paediatrics and public health, with a career spanning several decades. From 1985 to 2000, Chewe held various positions at the University Teaching Hospital, progressing from junior intern to consultant paediatrician. Chewe then worked with UNICEF from 2000 to 2007, serving in roles such as HIV/AIDS Project Officer and Senior Adviser, focusing on the prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV and paediatric HIV care across East and Southern Africa.
