Dan Rono is a seasoned child protection specialist currently serving as the Chief of Child Protection for UNICEF Burkina Faso. With a broad spectrum of experience, Dan previously held significant roles at UNICEF and Save the Children, contributing to critical child protection initiatives in multiple crisis settings, including Somalia, DRC, and Indonesia. Dan’s expertise includes designing and implementing child protection programs, providing technical support, and advocating for children's rights and welfare. Dan holds a Master of Science in Risk, Crisis, and Disaster Management from the University of Leicester and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Nairobi.
