Gillian Walker

Gillian Walker is an experienced emergency manager currently working at UNICEF, bringing a decade of expertise in program management across various thematic areas including HIV/AIDS, Gender, and WASH. Previously, Gillian served as the Emergency Coordinator for the Danish Refugee Council in Ethiopia and Djibouti, where key accomplishments included securing emergency funding and enhancing program management skills. This individual also held positions with organizations such as Handicap International, Concern Worldwide, and Oxfam, managing large-scale humanitarian responses and leading teams of over 400 staff. Gillian holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Studies from Trent University.
