Heta Kosonen is the Climate, Energy & Infrastructure Innovation Lead at UNICEF, focusing on improving the health and well-being of children and women through humanitarian innovations. They previously served as a Project Officer and Innovation Manager at UNICEF between 2018 and 2020, and as a Program Manager at JEN from 2017 to 2018. Heta holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington, where they also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Researcher from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, they have earned multiple Master's degrees in Air Pollution Engineering and Water and Environmental Engineering, along with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Aalto University.
