Jonathan Veitch

Jonathan Veitch is currently the UNICEF Representative to the Pacific Island Countries, overseeing support for national development priorities and coordinating UNICEF's COVID-19 response in the region. They previously served as the Deputy Director of National Committee Relations at UNICEF from 2016 to 2021 and held various representative roles in challenging environments, such as Kyrgyzstan and South Sudan, where they led humanitarian responses and developed strategic partnerships. Jonathan's extensive experience includes managing large-scale health initiatives and humanitarian programs, as well as contributing to polio eradication efforts globally. They are pursuing a GMAP and MA in International Relations at Tufts University's Fletcher School and hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
