Layla Saad

Layla Saad is currently the Deputy Representative and Head of Programmes at UNICEF Brazil. Previously, Layla served as the Executive Director of the Pathy Foundation in Montreal, Canada, and has over twenty years of experience in poverty, inequality, sustainable development, and participatory governance across various institutions. Layla's extensive career includes multiple roles within the United Nations, such as Regional Adviser on Social and Behaviour Change with UNICEF’s Regional Office for South Asia and Deputy Director at the UNDP World Centre for Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro. Layla holds a Master of Science in Policy and Planning from the University of British Columbia and an Honours BA in Human Geography from Simon Fraser University.
