Mathew Tasker possesses extensive experience in social policy and food security, currently serving as Chief of Social Policy at UNICEF since January 2020, after previously holding the position of Social Policy Manager. Prior to this role, Mathew was employed at Save the Children UK from June 2017 to January 2020 as a Social Protection Advisor and Asia Regional Food Security and Livelihoods Advisor. Mathew also worked with Save the Children International from March 2014 to June 2017 as a Food Security, Livelihoods and Social Protection Advisor, and with the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) from February 2012 to January 2014 as a Program Officer, focusing on food security, rural development, and social protection. Earlier experience includes consultancy roles and research positions at Practical Action, the Institute of National Affairs in Papua New Guinea, and Fundación Yanapuma in Ecuador. Mathew Tasker holds an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and a B.A. (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of Sydney.
