Samir Hammoud

Lead Congressional Liaison

Samir Hammoud is the Lead Congressional Liaison at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), where they manage the relationship with the U.S. Congress to advance child rights and global humanitarian priorities. Previously, Samir worked as a Legislative Assistant in the United States Senate, supporting Senator Booker on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. They also had roles as a Legislative Intern with the Office of Senator Sherrod Brown and held various positions with organizations such as Hillary for America and the Center for American Progress. Samir received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, graduating Cum Laude from the University of the District of Columbia in 2015.
