Stephen Blight

Stephen Blight is the Senior Advisor for Child Protection at UNICEF Headquarters, where they lead global initiatives to combat violence against children. Previously, they served as the Child Protection Advisor for UNICEF's East Asia and Pacific Regional Office and have managed child protection programs in Sudan, South Africa, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. With a background that includes significant roles at CARE International, Oxfam GB, and Save the Children UK, Stephen has substantial international experience in countries such as Algeria, Burundi, and Kenya. They began their career with the United Nations Development Programme in Guinea and hold a Master’s degree in Human Geography from Carleton University, Ottawa.
