Douglas Phillips has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles. Douglas started their career at Accelerated Technology Inc. as the Networking Engineering Group Lead, where they introduced internet encryption and reduced the footprint of Nucleus WebServ. At Mentor Graphics, they served as the USB Engineering Manager and Nucleus OS Middleware Product Manager, leading initiatives to streamline release processes, increase software output, and plan roadmaps for middleware products. Later, at Unicoi Systems, they held positions as Vice President of Engineering and Senior Firmware Engineer, overseeing the design, development, testing, and release of VoIP software products and implementing security features within the SIP protocol software stack. Douglas also collaborated with sales and marketing to improve the company's public image and inform customers of key products. Phillips then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Red Lion Controls, where they developed and maintained level 2 switching software, quickly adapting to the main project and contributing key features. Most recently, they joined Wahsega Labs as the Vice President of Engineering.
Douglas Phillips attended the University of South Alabama from 1998 to 2001. During this time, they pursued a degree in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Software Development and Mathematics.
