Paolo Porcedda has over 25 years of work experience in risk management and finance. paolo started their career as a Junior economist at CA.RI.P.LO. - Cassa di Risparmio delle Province Lombarde in 1993. paolo then worked as a Senior Analyst in Market Risk Management at Banca Intesa from 1997 to 1999. Paolo held the position of Head of Risk Control at Banca Regionale Europea from 1999 to 2000, followed by serving as Head of Market Risk Management at Banca Lombarda for a brief period in 2000. paolo then joined Mediobanca as the Head of ALM & Risk Management from 2000 to 2002. paolo continued their career at UniCredit Banca Mobiliare as the Head of Planning & Strategies in 2003 and subsequently moved to UniCredit Banca d'Impresa as the Head of Risk Management from 2003 to 2005. Paolo's next role was at UniCredit, where they served as the Head of Strategic Analysis & Benchmarking from January 2006 to November 2006 and later as the Head of Market Risk Integration and Reporting from December 2006 to May 2008. paolo then joined UniCredit Foundation in 2008 as a Programm Officer - Desk Europe & Central Asia until March 2012. Paolo returned to UniCredit and held the position of Head of Group-Wide Credit Risk Validation from April 2012 to June 2013. Finally, they took on the role of First Vice President - Group Financial Risk Standard & Practice at UniCredit starting from June 2013.
Paolo Porcedda has a diverse education history. In 1988, they obtained a Master's degree in Economics from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. paolo then pursued their undergraduate studies at Università Bocconi from 1983 to 1990, where they earned a Laurea degree in Discipline Economiche e Sociali. In 1992, Paolo attended the 25th Essex Summer School in Social Science, Data Analysis, and Collection at the University of Essex. paolo also participated in several summer schools at the Centro Interuniversitario di Econometria in Bertinoro, Italy, specializing in Advanced Econometric Methods in Finance (1996), Macro- and Micro-Econometrics of Investments (1995), and Econometrics (1994). In 1997, they completed the Programme in "Financial Asset Management and Engineering" at the Université de Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland.
