Fausto Sblandi is an experienced professional with a robust background in finance, climate change risk, and innovation strategy. Currently serving as the Head of Group Climate Change & Environmental Risk at UniCredit since February 2016, Fausto is responsible for assessing the bank’s compliance with regulations, identifying climate change risk exposures, and integrating these considerations into the bank's governance framework. Prior experience at UniCredit includes roles in Commercial Banking Italy focused on digital customer journey improvements and leadership in Big Data projects for Corporate and Investment Banking. Before UniCredit, Fausto held various leadership positions at Enel, including Head of Innovation Strategy and Head of the CEO Office, where responsibilities encompassed strategy development, cross-divisional leadership, and financial communications. Fausto's career began at KPMG and Fleet Bank, where initial expertise in audit and business analysis was developed. An MBA graduate from ISIDA and an alumnus of executive education programs at IMD and MIT Sloan, Fausto combines strong analytical skills with a focus on strategic innovation across multiple sectors.
