Loide Matias da Silva

Loide Matias da Silva currently serves as a Senior Executive Officer - Solar Advisor at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero since September 2023. Loide has held multiple roles at Lightsource bp starting as a Grad-Solar Project Engineer and advancing to Government Affairs Analyst since May 2021. Additional experience includes serving as CFO & Head of Operations for Lusophone Africa at Explore Tech Africa and as a Trainee Energy Policy Advisor at the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators from November 2021 to February 2022. Loide holds a Master of Laws in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from the University of Dundee and a Bachelor of Engineering in Renewable Energy & Sustainable Technologies from Wrexham University.
