Roger Beckman

Roger Beckman, MS, is an experienced professional in emergency management and firefighting, currently serving as the Training Manager for FEMA Utah Task Force 1 since February 2019. With a robust background, Roger holds the position of Operations Captain at Unified Fire Authority since October 2007, contributing 19 years of expertise as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Heavy Rescue Technician, and FEMA UTTF1 Rescue Specialist. Additionally, Roger serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Utah Valley University since March 2003, leading courses in the College of Emergency Services. As Deputy Emergency Manager for Santaquin Fire & EMS since February 2014 and a former Firefighter/Paramedic for South Salt Lake Fire Department, Roger's educational credentials include a Master's degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a Bachelor's degree in Fire Service Leadership & Emergency Management from Utah Valley University.
