Jerry Tsai

Jerry Tsai began their career in 2005 as an Informatics Manager at Aetna. Jerry then held Contract Statistician roles at the Veterans Administration and Florida Hospital Tampa. In 2010, they became a Manager at Insight Excite LLC, where they developed a valuation model for investing in residential real estate in Los Angeles. In 2016, they held two roles at Galvanize Inc, first as a Technical Admissions Officer and then as a Data Science Fellow. Jerry then became a Data Scientist at Townsquared and a Consulting Data Scientist at Vidy. Since 2018, they have been Lead, Data Science and Analytics at Impress (Uniform Teeth), where they guide the fast-growing orthodontics Series A/Series C startup on what data to collect to inform KPIs and produces dashboards to monitor these KPIs for every functional area. As part of the Engineering/Product leadership team, they drive the product roadmap towards highest-impact features for the electronic medical record (EMR) and the sales funnel.

Jerry Tsai received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University in 1992. Jerry then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which they completed in 1999. Afterward, they earned their Doctor of Science (all but dissertation) in Health Decision Sciences from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2004.
