Koen Akkerman

Koen Akkerman has over two decades of experience in the insurance sector, currently serving as the Director of Reinsurance and Sales at Unigarant, part of ANWB, since June 1999. In this role, Koen oversees the reinsurance operations and heads the sales department. Previous positions include Manager of Sales and Manager of Volmachten, with responsibilities focused on revenue and profitability across various distribution channels and market segments. Prior to Unigarant, Koen worked at Monuta from January 1995 to June 1999 as an Account Manager, managing partnerships with insurance intermediaries in northeastern Netherlands. Educational accomplishments include attendance at the TIAS School for Business and Society and Nyenrode Business University, among other institutions, with a degree in Commercial Economics from Stenden.
