Ralph Büchel

Ralph Büchel, CFA has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Ralph is currently a Partner and the Global Head of Secondaries at Unigestion, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a Principal in the Private Equity division at Unigestion from January 2018 to March 2021.

Before joining Unigestion, Ralph worked at Akina Ltd as a Private Equity Investment Director and Senior Vice President from November 2011 to December 2017. Ralph also gained experience at Capital Concepts International Ltd as an M&A Associate in Corporate Finance from March 2009 to October 2011.

Earlier in their career, Ralph worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at UBS Investment Bank in 2008 and as an Assistant Consultant at SunGard Financial Systems from 2005 to 2008. Ralph began their career in the finance industry with UBS Wealth Management, where they completed an all-round traineeship from June 2001 to November 2002.

Ralph Büchel, CFA obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Financial Services from FHS St.Gallen University of Applied Sciences in the years 2002 to 2006. Ralph then went on to complete their Master of Arts (M.A. HSG) in Banking and Finance (MBF) from the University of St.Gallen between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, in August 2012, Ralph Büchel obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute. Ralph also holds the Swiss Certificate in Banking for Highschool Graduates / Zertifikat Bankeinstieg für Mittelschulabsolventen (BEM) from the Swiss Banking Institute / Schweizerischen Bankiervereinigung (SBVg), which they obtained in the year 2000.
