João Araújo Monteiro Neto

João Araújo Monteiro Neto serves as the Data Protection Officer at Unimed Fortaleza since December 2020, managing personal data protection activities and representing the organization to regulatory authorities. Concurrently, João is a member of the Fiscal Council of ISOC Brasil and holds the position of Special Advisor for the Compliance Program at Universidade de Fortaleza, where responsibilities include overseeing integrity programs and developing courses in Digital Law and Data Protection. Additional roles include presidency of the Technology Law Commission at OAB/CE, consulting on data protection matters with Data Protection Office Brasil, and practicing law at Carvalho, Monteiro e Silva Advogados. João has also contributed to various research projects in artificial intelligence and data science and possesses multiple degrees, including a PhD in Law from the University of Kent.
