José Augusto Ferreira

Graduated in medicine from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Minas Gerais, he is a specialist in Internal Medicine (Santa Casa de Belo Horizonte), and in Intensive Medicine, by the Brazilian Intensive Medicine Association (AMIB). He holds a postgraduate degree in Business Management from the University of São Paulo (USP), and a professor of Health Management at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Minas Gerais.

He is currently director of Health Care at Unimed Nacional, and director of Health Care at Unimed-BH. He was commercial director of Credicom Cooperativa de Crédito, and president of the Federation of Medical Work Cooperatives (Fencom). He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Organization of Cooperatives of the State of Minas Gerais (Ocemg).

He founded and was president of Unimed Parque Cimenteiro, in Vespasiano (MG). He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Unimed Nacional.
