John McPherson

John McPherson is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in various roles that span multiple sectors. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at UniMed since October 2022, McPherson provides technical leadership aimed at enhancing health and wellness outcomes for New Zealanders. As a Director at WBLT Property, McPherson directs property investment initiatives and strategic governance for portfolio expansion. Previously, McPherson held the position of Senior Security Consultant at SecureCom Limited, where guidance on information security was provided, and took on multiple roles at Fisher Funds, including Head of Information Technology and Interim Chief Operations Officer, overseeing technology and operations through significant organizational changes. McPherson started the career as a Security Software Consultant at Chillisoft and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing for Graphics and Animation from Robert Gordon University.
