Elsa Flores is a seasoned education and leadership development professional with extensive experience in community engagement and parent advocacy. Currently serving as the Director of Leadership Development at Councilor At Large Julia Mejia’s Office, since July 2024, Elsa has held various leadership roles at Union Capital Boston since June 2015, including East Boston Network Manager and UCB Diamond Leader. Previously, Elsa contributed significantly to the Collaborative Parent Leadership Action Network as a Spanish Teacher and POD Facilitator from September 2020 to July 2023. As President of the Flores School of Advancement from March 2012 to September 2020, Elsa focused on designing and delivering workshops for Latino families, specializing in mathematics, community outreach, and parent leadership. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University Dr. Andrés Bello and multiple diplomas and certificates in educational leadership and teaching.
