Luke Munro

Luke Munro is currently a Barista at Starbucks, where responsibilities include preparing beverages and providing customer service at a high-traffic kiosk at Union College. Additionally, Luke serves as a Strength Training Work-Study Assistant, overseeing the Weight Room during term and supporting student athletes. Luke is recognized as a Summer Research Fellow for 2025, focusing on optimizing problem-solving strategies in statistical engineering under Professor Roger Hoerl's mentorship. Previous experience includes internships as a Software Developer Intern at Data4Deals, where algorithms for invoice processing were designed, and as a Full-stack Developer Intern at Miles in the Sky, contributing to the development of an AI-driven educational assistant. Luke is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Statistics at Union College, alongside a diverse educational background including music studies and early education.
