Shawna Gallagher

Shawna Gallagher serves as the Senior Associate Director of Annual Giving Volunteer Strategy at Union College since January 2020, leading fundraising initiatives focused on volunteer development and peer-to-peer outreach. Previously, Shawna held the position of Associate Director of Annual Giving, where management of the leadership annual giving program and oversight of volunteer management were key responsibilities. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Director of Affinity Programs at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, specializing in event planning and execution, and as Supervisor of Meetings, Events, and Communications for the Eastern NY Coalition of Automotive Retailers, where Shawna coordinated various events and managed communications. Shawna began a career in event and program planning as an intern at SUNY Oneonta. Shawna holds a degree in Communication Studies with a focus on Meeting and Event Planning and Public Relations from SUNY Oneonta.
