Liz Cooper

Liz Cooper has extensive work experience in the field of public communications and journalism. Liz worked at Union County, NC, starting as a Public Communications Manager in June 2019 and later became the Assistant Director before eventually becoming the Director in February 2022. Prior to their role at Union County, Liz worked as an Anchor/Reporter at WSOC-TV Eyewitness News from April 2015 to June 2019. Before that, they were an Anchor/Reporter at WICS-TV from October 2010 to March 2015. Liz also gained valuable experience as a General Assignment Reporter at WMGT-TV from July 2008 to September 2010. Liz began their career as an intern at WBTV in Charlotte, where they learned various skills in gathering information, interviewing, writing stories, and editing.
