Union County Schools
Jerry Blakely is an experienced educator currently teaching at Union County Schools and Greenville County Schools since August 2021 and August 2017, respectively. In addition to teaching Social Studies, Jerry is pursuing a Master of Arts at Clemson University, a program started in August 2014. Jerry also serves as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve, overseeing the management of over 50 soldiers and ensuring equipment accountability. Previous experience includes a role as a Nursing Assistant at Rosecrest Lutheran Homes and service as a Petty Officer Second Class in the US Navy, stationed in San Diego, CA. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in American Studies and Military Science from USC Upstate, earned from 2011 to 2014, and a Master of Art in Teaching from Clemson University, completed in 2015.
