Union County Schools
Thomas Nelson has extensive experience in education and coaching, currently serving as a Teacher and Coach at Union County Schools since August 2021. Prior to this role, Thomas worked at Murphy High School for 15 years, teaching 9th grade Health and PE, Advanced PE for boys and girls, and coordinating make-up hours, in addition to coaching varsity football and various middle school sports. Earlier in Thomas's career, positions included Area Coordinator, Football Coach, Softball Coach, and Strength and Conditioning Coach at Emory and Henry College from June 1997 to May 2006. Thomas holds a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Emory & Henry University, earned from 1993 to 1998.
