Janne Werning

Janne Werning is an accomplished professional in the field of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) analysis, currently serving as the Head of ESG Capital Markets & Stewardship at Union Investment since June 2019. Previously, Janne held the position of (Senior) ESG Analyst at Union Investment from January 2016 and contributed as a member of the Bondholder Engagement Working Group for the Principles for Responsible Investment from August 2016 to March 2018. Janne's experience also includes roles as an ESG Analyst at oekom research AG, a Junior ESG Analyst at UNESCO, and internships at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the German Embassy in Singapore. Janne holds a Master of Science in Human Rights from The London School of Economics and Political Science and dual Bachelor degrees in Public Administration and European Studies with a focus on Sustainable Development from the University of Münster and the University of Twente, respectively.
